Norturnal

When I can't sleep, when insomnia taunts me, my nocturnal nature rises and I become a dark side of my light... my mind wanders, my heart desires and my body aches for human touch...

Roll 'Em, Benny!

Jean meet Jimmy....

This is what it's all about....

"Forever Lulu"

There was only one Lulu. One raven-haired rebel named Louise Brooks. She's one of my favorites. A true flapper. Watching her films late, late at night with a glass of wine by the fire is absolute magic.

The Bee's Knees

I read The Great Gatsby at least three times a year. It's my favorite book of ALL time! I adore Jay Gatsby layer by layer. I love the era, the mischievous red-lipped flapper and the debonair gents dressed to the nines. The music and dance, the glamour and cinema. There's nothing quite like it. I just spent the afternoon watching films of the angelic Jean Harlow. Then, I found this wonderful piece on youtube. How fun!

R.I.P. Michael

There Is No Death

There is a plan far greater than the plan you know;
There is a landscape broader than the one you see.
There is a haven where storm-tossed souls may go-
You call it death - we, immortality.
You call it death - this seeming endless sleep;
We call it birth - the soul at last set free.
'Tis hampered not by time or space - you weep.
Why weep at death? 'Tis immortality.

Farewell, dear voyageur -'twill not be long.
Your work is done - now may peace rest with thee.
Your kindly thoughs and deeds- they will live on.
This is not death -'tis immortality.

Farewell, dear voyageur - the river winds and turns;
The cadence of your song wafts near to me,
And now you know the thing that all men learn:
There is no death - there's immortality.
